10 Reasons to Adopt #BaliDog

TOP TEN REASONS TO ADOPT A BALI DOG

  1. We’ll help you find the perfect buddy

Our aim is to match you and your existing pets with a suitable companion using the experience of our expert rehoming volunteers. We recognise that everyone’s situation is different and make adopting a dog as stress-free as possible with our simple three-step rehoming process.

  1. We know that every dog is unique

All our Bali Dogs receive a detailed behaviour and temperament assessment. Our team are highly motivated and knowledgeable about making sure the first few weeks with your new pet go smoothly, giving you, the new owner complete peace of mind.

  1. All our dogs receive a full veterinary assessment

Our vet checks include worming, flea treatment and vaccinations.

  1. We rehome all over Bali

We find loving homes for our dogs in and around South Bali and much further afield – even in North Bali & far West. All that we ask is that you are able to travel to our space in Bukit to meet them and we will then arrange a home visit if necessary.

Even though some of our dogs would prefer a lovely home in the mountains, we do have dogs who would happily live right in the middle of Kuta. It is most important for us to ensure each dog is matched with the right owner wherever your home may be.

  1. You will be helping to support rescues and spread the word

Bali Dog Foundation champions and supports all vulnerable dogs and is determined to create lasting change for animals in #Indonesia. We take great pride in our work to help people of all ages to understand about responsible ownership and how to care for your Bali Dog.

We work within the community, with young people and the Government to inform, educate and advise about animal welfare. So every time you and your Bali Dog take a walk, proudly displaying the Bali Dog Foundation tag, you too are helping spread the word about how important and wonderful it is to rehome a rescue animal.

  1. Our rehoming pack will give you everything you need to get started with your new #balidog

Our rehoming donation is 400RB for dogs (over six months) or 600 RB for puppies (under six months). The cost includes a full veterinary and behavioural assessment, initial vaccinations, a collar, identification tag and lead. In most cases your dog will also have been neutered or have an appointment arranged to do so. These costs represent a significant saving on the fees you could pay should you buy a pet from elsewhere.

  1. You and your dog can join other past Bali Dog Foundation residents at our Annual Reunion event

You will be cordially invited to our exciting Annual Reunion and/or Bali Fun Day events where our past residents gather for a great doggie day out to to catch-up with us and meet other previous Bali Dog Foundation dogs and their owners.

  1. Hairy additions make happy homes

By welcoming a #rescue dog into your life you are opening yourself to finding a new best friend who will bring lots of love to your home. Read some of our rehoming stories to find out how Bali Dog Foundation pets have proved great additions to their owners’ lives.

  1. You’re helping to end puppy farms

By choosing to adopt a pet from a #rescue group, you are helping to end puppy farms by putting them out of business. Puppy farms are cruel and inhumane, and their only purpose is for the breeder to make money fast. Dogs are typically kept in horrid living conditions and have many health and behavioural issues. When the adults can no longer produce puppies, they are disposed of like garbage. Adopt a #balidog to help end cruel puppy farms.

  1. You’re giving an animal a second chance at life

Rescued #balidogs come from all over Bali and the Beach. Some are brought to rescue organizations like Bali Dog Foundation because their owners were neglecting them or had to leave Indonesia. By adopting a pet, you are giving them a second chance at being a part of a loving family.
